The Georgia Peach Jam is Postponed as of Today. FCPRD is doing work on the Big Creek Greenway (Boardwalk). If we are able to schedule late 2021 we will do so, if not, we will reschedule for 2022 (same weekend in 2022)!
The 2021 Georgia Peach Jam registration is OPENING SOON! We do have a participant cap of 525 on the Half Marathon!
PACKET PICK UP... will be at North Georgia Running Co (Cumming Location) Saturday May 29th from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon (they are offering 15% off on footwear, 20% off on apparel and 10% off on accessories for those picking up their race packets on the 29th)!
We're excited to present the Georgia Peach Jam Half Marathon and 5K Running Race on the Big Creek Greenway (Concrete / Boardwalk Greenway), Forsyth County, Georgia (this is not a dirt trail run)! This course sets up to be one of the fastest and most scenic half races in Georgia! The Big Creek Greenway is a 12 foot wide concrete and boardwalk path winding through the woods along Big Creek (Check Out The Race Course Video Below And The GPS Data Above). The race will start (on the track) and finish (on the track) at Fowler Park, Cumming, Ga. A portion of your race proceeds will be donated back to the Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department!
Runners Please Note... there are restroom opportunities along the Georgia Peach Jam Half Marathon Course. These are permanent facilities and located at the 3.95 mile turn around as well as across from the 8.5 and 11.5 mile water stations. The facilities are between 20-50 yards away from the race route.

RACE COURSE
Half Marathon course will start on the track at Fowler Park and soon lead onto the Big Creek Greenway Trail (Concrete / Boardwalk Trail)! Once at the Greenway the race route will turn right at .45 (headed towards highway 9), go out to the 3.95 mile mark and turn around (please stay on the right side of the path runners coming in the opposite direction will be on your left). The race will go back down the Greenway to the 10.0 mile mark then turn around and head back to the finish area on the track! The running surface is a mixture of concrete and boardwalk (flat, smooth and fast)! The course is beautiful and offers something for every runner truly wishing to "ditch the city".
Half Marathon Runners... we will have water stations at mile 1 (I know it's early), 3.9, 6.6 (water and gatorade), 8.5 and 11.5! All water stations will be on the right as you are running. Please do not cross over the center line to use a water station on the other side of the path (water will be on your right side). The water stations on the other side of the path are set up for you as you are headed in the opposite direction.
Please Note: We know everyone wants to have a great start for the race! We are asking you to line up according to your ability level. This will help with the start of the race and thinning out the crowds before hitting the concrete greenway. Once on the greenway we ask you stay to the right as you will be meeting oncoming runners at certain points on the course (they will be on your left).
RACE CATEGORIES
We will be handing out medals and prizes to our overall top 3 male and top 3 female finishers for each race as well as overall male and female masters, male and female grandmasters winners. We will also be handing out medals to our top 3 male and female finishers in each age group (14&U, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70&Over) and you must be present to receive your medal we will not mail them to you. All Half Marathon Finishers will receive a SWEET Custom Cast Dye Georgia Peach Jam Finisher Medal!
AWARDS
Awards will be given out when we have enough finishers in to fill the categories. Medals will be given out to the top three finishers in each category. Walkers are encouraged to participate; however, you should be able to complete the 13.1 miles at a 16 minute mile pace or under to receive an official time.
RACE RULES
Your safety and overall experience is important to us... Due to the amount of runners in this event we are asking for everyone to be courteous of the following: No Dogs, No Baby Strollers, No Skates, No Bikes on the Big Creek Greenway is Gorgeous (you're going to love it)! We do allow headphones and earbuds (please be courteous to other runners and keep them at a level you can hear the people around you trying to pass if needed). Please DO NOT attempt to transfer your number to another person. Your number serves as your emergency identification in case of an emergency situation.
We do chip timing for all our races (as well as a manual backup). We do a gun start to chip finish (your actual race time will start when the gun goes off we will not use a starting mat).
