RACE COURSE

This is great single and double track off-road running experience. The race will start in the open field (required for spacing) but will soon lead into the woods. The terrain is made up of a little bit of everything, rolling hills, single track, double track, with some rocks and roots.

9.10 Milers / 4.55 Milers:

GPS Unit Measures 9.10 Mile Course at 8.40 Miles; GPS Unit Measures 4.55 Mile Course at 4.25 Miles; Calibrated Bicycle Computer "wheel" measures long course at 9.10 miles and short course at 4.55 miles. Please note GPS Units do not capture every twist and turn in the woods as bicycle wheel does roll every twist and turn. Race will start on the gravel path (in the open field) then lead into the woods. The trail running surface is very easy to navigate... the 4.55 milers will do 1 lap and the 9.10 milers will do 2 laps. The race will be run in a "counter clockwise direction". This course and venue is only open to the public on race day (you will not be allowed to pre-run the course)!

The course is beautiful and offers something for every runner truly wishing to ´ditch the city´. Nestled in the woods of suburban Atlanta lies a true gem. Well groomed system of trails with gentle slopes and beautiful scenery will leave you breathless (if that doesn´t, the 9.10/4.55 miles will). Once you descend into the woods, you will forget your in the city. As a matter of fact, you will come to know why we follow the creed ´Ditch the City´.
